Friend Makin' Mondays - Childhood Toys

Amber at {aefilkins} is hosting today's Friend Makin' Monday for Kasey!  The big question for today is:

Name 5 toys that remind you of your childhood:

I love the questions that make me think about my childhood... especially the details I probably wouldn't other wise have recorded...

1. Ninja Turtles (Ninja Turtles! NOT TMNT.)

2. Lincoln Logs. Hours of entertainment.

3. Barbies. Before they had tattoos, were pregnant or even had highlights.

4. Rainbow Brite. Exactly like this one.

5. Teddy Ruxpin. I always wanted one of those freaky dolls that had a slot for cassette tapes in his BACK, then came to life... when I finally got one, I'm pretty sure it was a hand-me-down but I loved it!

That was a blast from the past! Thanks, Amber!

Haha! Love the toy that used a cassette tape! I kind of think the ones that come to life on their own now are pretty freaky!

Oh, Lincoln logs. Yes - those were fun. I was also going to put Tinker Toys - I played with those a lot too.

Good list. Love those Ninja Turtles!

Teddy Ruxpin terrified me. (But the bear on the Snuggle bottle freaks me out too.)
Lincoln Logs were great.

We must be the same age. I remember all of those toys and had at least 3 of them!

My brothers had the Teddy Ruxpin....but I played with it more than they did. He was WAY ahead of his time...so "futuristic"!!!

Have a super week!

Aaaack!! I totally forgot about Teddy Ruxpin! My mom still has a couple of those, and the tapes. She has tons of vintage toys. Sad that they're now considered vintage, huh??

It is SO great to meet you! I LOVE your blog! First time here, but definitely not my last!
