A Letter to You

Nightmares.

You know those dreams that wake you up in the middle of the night, and you just feel overwhelmed - and cry, right there in the dark? But my morning, you can't recall the emotions though vague details of the nightmare linger. Replaying what you do remember in your mind, just doesn't evoke the emotions that brought you to tears - it doesn't feel real anymore...

You know what I'm talking about?

That happened to me last night. It was a terrible, terrible dream. About my children. It broke my heart. But now that I'm awake and think about the nightmare, it seems unrealistic. Yet last night - it was so real.

I hate that.

Oh, so not fun. Hug those kids extra tight today. It was all a dream.

I hate those dreams too! Once awake I am so relieved it was a dream, but it still leaves me with a bad feeling I can't shake for awhile.

I am fascinated by dreams and wish someone could explain them to me...a simple explanation would do ;> Yours however, didn't sound like a very good one at all! Hug those children and know it WAS just a dream!

Thing to LOVE (gotta find the good for the bad) - being glad it was JUST a dream! :)

I totally hate that! I get bad nightmares all the time, but it is the worst when it's about your kids!

My nightmares always include spiders. THey are so real looking I can't decide if I'm asleep & dreaming or awake & hallucinating. Scary!!

Yuck! Nightmares are the absolute worst. Waking up and not quite sure of where you are. Enjoyed reading your post. Found you on Momdot.
