I am so sick to my stomach right now. This is way personal, but here it goes...
I just check my account online and found out where my money that I thought I had was going... OVERDRAFT FEES! I'm obviously not the best at balancing my checkbook but generally I know how much is in there... but I didn't realize that DH's .98 cent soda would add up to $20.98 with over draft fees! There are TWELVE overdraft charges. That's $120 WASTED.
I'm so sick right now...
...and I am NOT going garage sale-ing today.

Sorry :( Not fun! My husband pretty much does all of our financial stuff and he knows our money to the penny, so I don't usually have to worry.
Oh, I feel for you! What a rough way to be out 120 bucks. Ouch. Sorry about not going to the garage sales, too. That just adds salt to the wound!
So sorry to hear about the overdraft fees. $120 ouch. Not to mention the added bummer of now feeling guilty about going garage sale-ing. I give you props though for trying to tackle the balancing books, I do our fams finances and it's a pain.
Oh....I'm so sorry, I soooo know how you feel. My hubby and I have different accounts.. he's not as careful. Still recently I did the same thing to the tune of about 175.00 - over a 3.00 item. I had purchased a coffee and forgotten my Netflix charge - yikes. So sorry your missing your garage sale fun. Hope the rest of the weekend goes better, Sarah
I feel your pain...I've been there. we are budgeting ourselves and will be on a weekly cash basis now.
Ah Man... I hate when that happens! Sorry about that! ;)
Oh... Been there, done that. Our issue is RedBox... He goes and forgets to tell me! Grrr. We do a zero-based budget; we never keep extra money in our account. After all this time, he should know that! lol...
oh alicia, I know how you feel honey!
When I used to be afflicted with this problem I started adding in padding...so when I made a deposit for say, $300, I wrote $280 in my checkbook...and I did that with EVERY deposit.
Another idea is to get overdraft protection on your account. They attach a credit card to your account.
Sorry, I know it sucks.
