A Letter to You

Rough Day

Today was rough. Just a good old fashion - BAD DAY. The boys weren't exceptionally naughty, and DH didn't really do anything to deserve my attitude towards him.

I must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed.

Now that we even have a bed.

But I don't think that's it. I just needed a "down day"... and I don't get those. So I took one without asking. But it didn't sit well. I didn't even get out of my PJs until after 5pm. But I did get a nap in. Haven't had one of those in a while. But I just felt so BLAH today. I didn't even want to blog. I didn't want to do the things I should do, so I got by with the bare minimum and kept my home in order, for my own sake. If my house was a wreck that would have increased my anxiety level - um... a lot.

So, I may not blog this weekend. Just letting you know now.

I need to find balance in my life.

And blogging has been tipping the scale.

And I do it for free.

So, love you guys. Be back when I have something to say that will enrich you lives... because you deserve that.

Sorry for the negativity, but I wanted to keep ya'll in the loop-dee-loop.

Enjoy your weekend!

LOL Alicia....some days just go that way. Every now and again we have a pj day here...no one changes out of the jammies and we eat fun stuff (including veggies with dip & brownies) and watch movies all day. Generally I prep the day before and clean things up for on Jammie days..no work is allowed..just play. We also do on a rare occassion..Dairy Queen blzzards for dinner.
Some days just call for Mom to check out and have a good deep cry watching PS I Love You..of course Gerard Butler doesn't hurt my mood any either. Don't be hard on yourself - we all have days and weeks that go this way. Breathe. Hugs, Sarah

Oh, I hate these kinds of days! I'm so sorry you're having one. They stink. I hope you can find an activity (or non-activity) that will right you again. We'll miss you while you're "gone"!

Sorry it was a bad day :( I definitely think we all have days like that. I usually take a day off from blogging on the weekends now.. as I think most people are busy than anyways.
I hope your day is better today!

Hi Alicia. We women especially know where you're coming from on this. But as I am probably double your age (anyway), maybe triple, I'll just give you some advice from sage experience. Life is all about balance. You are right to try to have it. I can't blog everyday. I blog once a week most weeks and feel really good about that. Don't pressure yourself, girl. Blogging is about fun and relationship, not pressure. Do what you can. We always love to hear from you - whenever.

I don't hate those days. I think everyone needs one occasionally, just like everyone needs a good cry once in a while. Down days are only bad if they go longer than one day. But now that you have had your down day, you will probably have some very good and productive ones. Best wishes with that!
