Really, the reason I am totally bragging sharing these things I've created is because this is all so new and exciting for me, and seriously, if I can do it, you can do it!
I mostly get stuff from the DI (Deseret Industries, it's like Salvation Army) or recycle stuff around the house. I am not spending more than $2 on a craft. My mother-in-law is so kindly supporting my crafty whims and supplying me with most of what I need.
So... here's what I made yesterday, and some other things I've created...
So this little candy tin I decorated is great because my Monkey gets a treat to reinforce his good behaviors (eating all of his food, using the potty, being patient with his baby brother... you know stuff like that.) So this makes it even more fun. Oh yah, except that I tried to open it this morning And. I. Couldn't. It twists, so I know it didn't dry shut, but I can't pop the top off. I suspect it is one of two things... either, a) I'm a weakling or b) the paper and modge podge perfectly fill in the space that would otherwise allow the top to... ya know.. come off!
Another podge modged & painted tin. I just loved this scrap paper... but it doesn't have a purpose yet!
This is an older recipe box that I found at the DI. I don't know if I'm going to use it as a recipe box still, because my recipes are in a book... so, I left that space blank until I give it an assignment... then I will label it.
These are simply decorated Pringle cans! And what fortunate Pringle cans they are to now be my table's center piece. I don't have anything in the smaller one yet... pens/pencils, maybe? Also, notice the little tray thingy they're on... I got that for 50 cents and painted it black. Not too shabby, huh?
and here are some things in their "pre" form... that will be made into fun new things!
to be continued...

Those are too cute! I never would have thought to decorate a pringle's can.
I love them all! Isn't D.I. the BEST?
I have a bunch of tins I just got from my mom, I can't wait to mod podge them!
Thanks for coming to my party! Hope to see you next month too!
I'm sure I'll be visiting more before then though!

Very cute! I have been surfing around looking for ideas for table centerpieces for an upcoming party I am hosting. I am so glad to have stumbled upon your blog. I didn't know it could be so easy. Bring on the pringles cans!!
I am loving all of these ideas!! Isn't it amazing what a little MP and cute paper can do?? Love the small tin with the brown and flowered paper. So cute!!
I love refurbishing things that would end up in the trash. I can't believe how classy your pringle cans came out. Love the short brown container too!
